Building upon the success of the fall series, 杏吧原创 is pleased to announce that we will be launching a Spring 2021 Critical Conversations Webinar Series beginning in mid-February! This webinar series is designed to inspire community-wide dialogue on global, interdisciplinary topics within 杏吧原创鈥檚 Critical Global Issues Framework.

This spring, 杏吧原创 will host 40+ webinars over the course of four months. These webinars will help students experience an 杏吧原创 program, navigate the Admissions process, and hear from distinguished 杏吧原创 Study Abroad, 杏吧原创 Graduate Institute, and IHP program alumni. Additionally, panels will cover topics including indigenous constructions of power and social organization, alternative approaches to health and education, the critical interaction between water and geopolitics, the achievements of female scientists from the Global South in sustainability and conservation, and the mutual impact of spirituality and ecological awareness. The speakers represent a diverse pool of researchers, scholars, and community leaders that include 杏吧原创 faculty, program alums, and thought leaders from partner schools in the US and local communities.

The spring events aim to expand on the dialogues of the Fall 2020 Critical Conversations Webinar Series, which provided a platform for 杏吧原创 to continue to engage with members of our various communities at a time when in-person events were not possible. The semester-long series brought together more than 1,000 faculty, staff, alumni, and other global citizens for a variety of virtual events.

Blake Hart, 杏吧原创 assistant director of university relations, was one of the key event organizers this fall and hopes these new webinars will bring together an even broader coalition of interested and engaged participants. 鈥淎s we look forward to the spring series, we are excited to include our partner school faculty, alumni, and host country partners in these dialogues.鈥�
