Bhawana Oli, MPhil, MA

Bhawana Oli is a dedicated researcher and educator with a background spanning sociology, English, and gender studies. Hailing from Nepal’s eastern borderlands, her academic journey includes a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Tribhuvan University and advanced degrees (MA & MPhil) in English from Pokhara University. Her passion for impactful research was honed at the renowned Martin Chautari research organization. Bhawana’s work is driven by a deep commitment to social justice, with a specific research focus on the intersections of gender and environmental issues. Prior to joining ÐÓ°ÉÔ­´´ in 2023, she worked at local colleges as an instructor of social sciences and English. She has also lent her expertise as a consultant for major organizations like CARE Nepal and The Asia Foundation, advancing critical projects on women’s rights, political representation, and combating gender-based violence.
